Haunted Hotel

Many summers ago, I was employed as a weekend chambermaid at a grand old local hotel, there was one room at the end of the hall where odd things would happen while you were working in it, it was the same couple of things each time; sometimes the tap would start running, not full blast or anything, but turned on enough to cause a constant stream of water to flow. From the other room you could clearly hear water gurgling noisily down the drain. Whatever was present would also turn on the television. I was warned on my first day that things would happen in this room and paid no heed to these rumours until while making a bed and rustling the sheets noisily, I became suddenly aware of hearing muffled voices and noticing the telly was on! I can get gooseflesh just thinking back on those moments. Wherever you were in that place, it felt like someone was in there watching you.
I later learned the architect of the hotel had taken his own life by jumping from its roof, he’d thought the design of the place was all wrong, apparently the construction team had read the plans incorrectly and built it back to front.

Classic haunting, as if a ghost is reliving some moment in time over and over. This gave me chills! Great Story!
