I was 14 when this happened.

I was at the park on a really foggy day, around October. It had rained before and I was there because I had begged to be taken there, and my mother gave in. While there, I was on the swing enjoying the breeze despite the wet seat leaving my bum wet and my legs cold. I was then accompanied by another person, he was older. 17 maybe. He was cute and I wanted to talk, but before I could he had gotten up from his seat after some quiet swinging and walked away into the distance. Dumb me, was attracted and decided to follow for no reason. I figured that if maybe I had managed to ask for his number or insta he would be okay with it and we would chat it up. But by the time I had tried to reach him he was gone. Nothing but fog and an empty bench infront of the splash pad at the park. Just writing about it makes me nervous and makes me nauseous to even think about despite me being older now. I am supposed to be studying for an exam right now, but I am far too busy with this website. Feel free to reach out!! I get bored often and the books and films are not enough to keep me busy after finishing homework.

I had always been curious about the stories of Whispering Pines, the old abandoned cabin deep in the woods. People in town said you could hear creepy whispers in the wind if you got close. One fall evening, I decided to check it out for myself. I grabbed my flashlight and set off, feeling both excited and scared.

The path to the cabin was overgrown with bushes and tall grass. The trees seemed to close in around me as I walked. When I finally saw the cabin, it looked even spookier than I imagined, with ivy crawling all over and broken windows that looked like hollow eyes.

When I got closer, the wind picked up and made the leaves rustle in a creepy way. My flashlight started to flicker, making shadows jump around on the cabin's walls. I took a deep breath and pushed the door open. It creaked loudly, and the air inside was cold and musty. Dust floated around in the beam of my flashlight, making everything look even creepier.

As I looked around, I saw strange symbols carved into the walls and old, broken furniture covered in spider webs. My heart was pounding when I heard faint whispers. It was like the cabin was trying to talk to me. I followed the sound to a small room at the back, where there was a broken mirror. In the mirror, I saw not just my reflection, but also the ghostly figure of a woman standing behind me. I quickly turned around, but no one was there.

Determined to find out more, I kept exploring and found an old diary hidden under a loose floorboard. The diary belonged to a woman named Eliza who lived in the cabin a long time ago. The last entry talked about how she went crazy from being haunted by unseen things. I realized that Eliza's ghost was still in the cabin, trapped and sad.

The whispers got louder, and it felt like the whole cabin was full of scary energy. I knew I had to get out, but as I tried to leave, the door slammed shut on its own. The room got really cold, and shadows seemed to reach out for me. I heard footsteps behind me and felt a cold breath on my neck. Panicking, I ran towards the door, but it wouldn't budge. My heart was racing as I turned back and saw the ghostly figure of Eliza moving closer.

Desperate, I read a passage from the diary out loud, asking Eliza's spirit to find peace. Suddenly, the whispers stopped, and the oppressive feeling lifted. The door creaked open, and I dashed out into the night without looking back. I could still hear the footsteps chasing me as I ran through the forest, but I didn't stop until I reached the edge.

As I looked back one last time, the cabin stood silent and still. I knew the haunting would never really go away. Whispering Pines would always be a place of mystery and fear, but I survived its secrets and would never forget what happened.
